  • Lindsay and District Chamber of Commerce - $14,000

    Funding to purchase and support 5 new GPS enabled bicycles as part of their ongoing bikeshare program across the city, contributing to the vibrancy of the community.

    "These funds will allow us to realize the full potential of our Bike Share Program by allowing us to bring more bikes and their subsequent hardware to more locations in Lindsay. More bikes equals more people riding around shopping, touring and enjoying the community and of course it benefits our Chamber".

  • Globus Theatre - $20,000

    New equipment and technology to support sustainability and growth – a new POS system and cloud based CRM software to support marketing and event management including outreach.

    “Globus Theatre is profoundly grateful to Kawartha Lakes CFDC and the LEAP program for this meaningful grant which will allow us to acquire new cloud-based CRM software and a POS System to advance and expand our operations. These critical investments in new equipment and technology are integral to enhancing Globus Theatre’s long-term sustainability and growth plans, while having an immediate, positive impact on the overall patron experience.

    As we welcome thousands of locals and tourists each year to enjoy our performances, this grant will greatly influence the local economy and help us build upon our 20+ year legacy of providing cultural enrichment in the Kawartha Lakes region.”

  • Grove Theatre - $20,000

    Support for marketing and advertising costs, permanent signage, billboards, regional marketing initiatives to draw increased attendance and brand awareness.

This support not only enhances our ability to attract tourists and locals to Fenelon Falls, but also aides in strengthening the economic vitality of the Kawartha Lakes region.

  • Bobcaygeon Legion Branch 239 - $12,709

    Facility improvements to the legion banquet hall to increase community usage and access including a new Remembrance Wall.

    “The Grant was received with much gratitude. We are renovating our Banquet Hall which is very dated. We are looking forward to our 90th Anniversary July 19th ,20th and 21st and are very proud of our longevity and history. The funds will go to renovating the Banque Hall for new LED lights, ceiling tiles, lights to replace the very old chandeliers, a curtain over our memorial wall, banquet tables and other ceiling light replaced and be newly painted. This grant gives us hope for our future with a possible increase in usage and much pride in our accomplishments.

    We are a non profit organization that is run by all volunteers so this Grant makes it all worth while. It is because of the Community Support we have with organizations like yours (the LEAP Grant) that we can continue our Mission to support Veterans and our Community.

  • Lindsay Agricultural Society - $6,000

    Funding to support strategic planning development and initiatives for the board and team.

    “On behalf of the Lindsay Agricultural Society, I am grateful to Launch Kawartha and Invest Kawartha for awarding us a portion of the 2024 LEAP Grant funding. This support means that the LAS can finally move forward with the project to complete the strategic plan, which has been put off due to lack of funding, since early 2023.

    The process of creating this crucial guiding document will help us build resiliency with the ultimate goal of achieving financial stability. We are looking forward to completing this project at the beginning of 2025.”

  • Lindsay Lawn Bowling Club - $7,078

    Funding to obtain a weatherproof sound system/public announcement system for their facility versus a temporary portable system currently in use.

    “The Lindsay Lawn Bowling Club appreciates the support from Vince Killen and the Launch Kawartha team. We are in the beginning stages of a capital campaign to modernize and update our aging clubhouse. The funds provided will bring our sound system into the 21st century and will benefit our members and guests for many years to come.”

  • Ottawa Huron-Tract History Association - $10,713

    Funding to design, develop and host a Heritage Stories Festival in August 2024 in Lindsay, includes exhibits on historical buildings, Kinmount Icelandic culture, local artists, writing and photo contests among other activities.

    “Ottawa Huron-Tract History is thrilled to partner with Invest Kawartha to bring to our community this August the first Annual Heritage Stories Festival. This year’s Festival will celebrate the history of one-room schools in our community and the 150th anniversary of Icelandic heritage in the Kawarthas.
